Humanities Students Win Anzac Day Writing Competition

Congratulations to Year 7 student Tobias Coultis who recently won first place in the Year 7 category of Gaythorne RSL's Anzac Day Writing Competition. Fellow Mt Maria Humanities students, Alex Booker and Tara Lindley also won prizes in the annual competition, with Alex winning second place in the Year 8 category and Tara receiving the Encouragement Award for Year 9. 

The topic for this year's writing competition related to the following topic: 'write about a specific person in the Australian armed forces (living or dead) whom you admire. Why do you admire them?' 

As Tobias won first prize he was presented with a $300 cheque and a $300 cheque for the College library.
